Now... ON WITH THE TUTORIAL! :)

What you will Need:
JASC's PSP7
Eye Candy 3.1
My Selection file: teacupridesel.zip
Copies of your cups with various riders

Refills of your snacks of choice :)

Let's get this ride put together...

Open a new image 400x400 transparent background.

LAYER #1 (Posts)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Posts".

2.Go to Selections, Load from Disk and open my pformposts.sel file.
Flood fill with the Pine Pattern provided with PSP: Size 50%, Angle 90.

3. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel
Use the Frame Preset

4. Deselect and SAVE

LAYER #2 (Platform)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Platform".

2.Go to Selections, Load from Disk and open my platform.sel file.
Flood fill with the Pine Texture provided with PSP: Size 50%, Angle 0.

3. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow at these settings:

4. Deselect and SAVE

LAYER #3 (Base)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Base".

2. Go to Selections, Load from Disk and open my base.sel file.
Flood fill with the Metallic Gradient Preset at these settings:

3. Go to Effects / Plugin Filters / EC3.1 / Weave at these settings:

4. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel at these settings:

5. Go to Image / Flip - Leave it offset (...if it is :)

6. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow - Same settings

7. Deselect and SAVE

LAYER #4 (Back Posts)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Back Posts".

2.Go to Selections, Load from Disk and open my backposts.sel file.
Floodfill with black

3. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel
Use the Metallic Preset. Deselect

4. Go to your Move Tool , and slide the base to line up with the back
posts if needed. Click once on a post to change back to that layer.

5. SAVE

LAYER #5 (Back Rope)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Back Rope".

2. Click on your Tube Tool , set it to the Rope preset that came with PSP
at ~25%, Step=1. Draw a rope barrier from post to post. I like to do each
one individually so that I don't lose as much if I mess up. :)

It should look something like this:

LAYER #6 (Cups)
YAY! Time to add on your cups!

To make things look flat, I start with the cup at the back set to 70-75%.
For each row in front, I increase the size by 5-10% (depending on how many you add)
and place them on a layer to themselves so that they can be moved around easily.
The cup on the front I have kept at full size.

LAYER #7 (Front Posts)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Front Posts"

2.Go to Selections, Load from Disk and open my frontposts.sel file.
Flood fill with black

3. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel
Use the Metallic Preset.

4. Deselect and SAVE

LAYER #8 (Front Rope)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Front Rope".

2. Use the Rope tube to connect the posts making sure to leave a
space between the front two. Our Riders have to have a way to get
on the ride don't they? :)

3. SAVE

LAYER #9 (Step Stand)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Step Stand".

2. Go to Selections, Load from Disk, and open my stepstand.sel file.
Flood fill with Black.

3. Effects / 3D Effects / Inner Bevel at these settings:

4. Deselect and SAVE

 

LAYER #10 (Steps)
1. Add a new Raster Layer named "Steps".

2. Go to Selections, Load from Disk and use my steps.sel file.
Flood fill with pine texture.

3. Go to Effects / 3D Effects / Drop Shadow at these settings:

4. Deselect and SAVE

EXTRAS
For the sign, I used the draw tool set at 50, and then at 10 for the post,
added a lil drop shadow, and my text.

AND YOUR FINISHED!
